Using the DSTT
Looking around for a DSTT? Look no further than DSCardWorld! The
DSTT was one of the earliest DS cards ever released. The DSTT has undergone
many changes from the boxed version to the current blister pack version. We are happy to say that these changes have improved the reliability of the
DSTT card making the DSTT a decent, solid card for the Nintendo DS / Nintendo
DS Lite. The regular DSTT does not work on the Nintendo DSi console.
The DSTT usually comes in a white cartridge and the casing is well built. At
DSCardWorld, the DSTT card pack will come with the DSTT
card as well as a USB-to-Micro-SD adapter. The DSTT software can also be found on the DSCardWorld
website. We recommend our customers check for updates to the card software regularly as new DSTT firmware are
occasionally released to further enhance its compatibility with the newest applications..
DSTT is an original sized DS card that slots into the slot 1 (upper slot) of a Nintendo DS /DS Lite. The
DSTT uses a list style menu which is very suitable for playing homebrew games but less so for multimedia applications..
DSTT also uses action replay cheat codes for many games allowing various cheats such as infinite life and so forth.
To allow the DSTT to work properly, you will need to purchase a Micro-SD card as the
DSTT does not contain any built in memory. The DSTT can take Micro-SD cards
up 32GB in size making it great for people who need lots of space for their homebrew games or MP3s. To transfer the
DSTT games and DSTT firmware, a USB-to-Micr-SD can be used
to connect the Micro-SD card to the computer. Simply by dragging and dropping, the DSTT firmware and homebrew
games can than be transferred to the Micro-SD card. After this is finished, the Micro-SD card can be unplugged and slot into the
DSTT card. The DSTT uses a spring loaded mechanism for the Micro-SD card.
The DSTT card can in turn be slot into the DS / DS Lite after the Micro-SD is inserted, where the fun can begin!
The DSTT is one of the cheapest DS cards out in the market that can accept up to 32GB micro SD.
DSTT functions are quite limited and is more suited to playing just homebrew games. The
DSTT is not compatible with the new Nintendo DSi console. We recommend the
DSTT as the cheap and cheerful option for the Nintendo DS / Nintendo DS Lite.
